Are BizUP Online Coaches Certified?

The BizUP Coaches are experienced and qualified to coach in their chosen field. Where specific clinical certifications and licensing are required, the UPPBiz coaches are also required to hold them. This includes, however, not limited to, advisory services in the life insurance, fiduciary, financial, legal, medical industry, or otherwise required by the state for which they practice.

How are BizUP coaches selected?

To become a BizUP coach, you must first meet the preliminary requirements, such as having at least 3-5 years of career experience in the field of chosen coaching, such as credit Repair Coaching, Business proposal writing, Grant Coaching, etc.  (see BizUPCoaching for details). If licensure or certification is required to provide coaching services to others entering or already within their chosen field, the Website requires and advises all coaches to have it.

Once a potential BizUP coach provides the required documents to meet online coaching standards, including state licensing requirements, they are offered an opportunity to join our staff as an Entrepreneurial Coach.  This offer includes completing a 6-month training program and setting up your online coaching platform. (see Online Coaching Business-6-month Course for details)

How do UppBiz Coaches work with Entrepreneurs?

Considering BizUP Coaches must meet specific requirements, they can be classified as Coaches, Mentors, or Mentoring Coaches. Each classification determines their coaching style. Are they performance-driven or development-driven? Perhaps it’s a combination of both. So, it depends on whether the entrepreneur requires coaching or mentoring and which, or perhaps both, to be most effective.

Once the most effective style has been identified, the entrepreneur decides how to proceed with the platform. As such, BizUP Coaches structure their program according to their coaching style. Those who seek that coaching style will find value in it and see better results.

What is a coach vs a mentor?

Coaching and mentoring are distinct approaches to professional development, each with unique focuses.

Coaching is performance-driven, aiming to improve specific on-the-job effectiveness and achieve targeted goals through a more directive style.

In contrast, mentoring is development-driven, taking a holistic view of career advancement. Mentors share their experiences and insights, guiding mentees beyond their current roles toward long-term aspirations.

Both play essential roles in fostering entrepreneurial growth, but coaches target immediate performance, while mentors focus on broader career guidance.
